The standard means of enjoying Google’s Android operating system (OS for short) is to get an Android-powered smartphone or an Android-powered tablet. But you see, by using an emulator, you don’t have to get a smartphone or tablet to use Google's Android OS. By using an emulator you can enjoy the Android OS on other devices, like your Windows-powered PC.

Andy is such an emulator. As a matter of fact, the developer presents it as “Andy the Android Simulator.” Having a tool like Andy by your side is, for lack of better words, awesome. Why, you ask? For the simple reason that you can use your PC’s keyboard and your PC’s large monitor to access the great functionality offered by the Android OS. You can use Android on your Windows PC!

Download an installer, run it, and a setup wizard will show up. Click through the instructions this wizard presents onscreen and you won’t have any problems installing Andy on your PC. It may take a bit of time to complete the installation process, but you won’t have any problems completing it.

Once you’re done with the installation, you will have to activate your new, your virtual Android. You have to do the same when you purchase a new Android smartphone/tablet and you power it up for the first time. If you know what I’m talking about, then you know that it’s quite easy to activate an Android device. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you’ll find out just how easy it is to activate an Android device.

A world of awesome Android apps and tons of great Android functionality awaits. Get Andy, install it on your PC, and enjoy Google’s Android OS on your Windows PC.

Pros

Andy is available for Microsoft’s Windows and for Apple’s Mac OS X. Installing Andy on a Windows PC is not a difficult task. Once you have Andy up and running, you can enjoy Google’s Android operating system on your Windows PC. Andy is free software.

Cons

None that I could think of. Tip I've recently reviewed some other applications that offer similar functionality: Droid4x, DuOS, and Windroy.
